These terms govern your use of the DeviceOpen AI desktop app and deviceopenai.com (together, the “service”), provided by Dismantlix Labs LLC, a Wyoming, USA limited liability company (“we”, “us”). By installing or using the service you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use it. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
DeviceOpen AI provides repair and teardown guides and an AI assistant, Mariam, that helps you open and repair electronic devices. You need a Windows 10/11 or macOS computer and an internet connection.
You need an account to use the app. Give accurate information, keep your password secret, and you’re responsible for activity on your account. Accounts are for one person. An account is tied to one computer, and each computer gets one free trial. Trials aren’t available in virtual machines, and you may not try to get around these limits.
Opening a device can damage it, void its warranty, and cause injury. Batteries can catch fire, and some devices contain hazardous parts or high voltage. Guides and Mariam’s answers are general information, not professional advice, and may be incomplete or wrong. AI answers can be wrong. Follow the warnings in each guide, disconnect power before you start, and stop if you’re unsure. You are solely responsible for what you do to your devices.
Don’t: share your account or license; copy, scrape, resell or redistribute the guides or app content; reverse engineer the app except where the law allows; attack, overload or probe our systems; use the service for anything unlawful, or to repair devices you have no right to open; or attempt to bypass trial, device or licensing checks.
The app, guides, branding and Mariam are owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app. You keep ownership of what you type in chat, and you give us permission to process it to provide the service as described in the Privacy Policy. Trademarks of device makers belong to their owners; we aren’t affiliated with them.
The app updates itself. Some updates are required to keep using the app, for example for security or compatibility, and the app may ask you to install them.
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted operation.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for damage to devices or data, personal injury arising from repairs, or lost profits. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they apply only as far as the law permits.
You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or misuse the service.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date above, and for significant changes notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
